Science Honors Program KCC |
Science Honors Program, is an in-house program of K.C. College. Students are selected after rigorous selection process. There are two modules namely, Research module and General module. Research module students are exposed to various aspects of research ranging from why, what and how the research project should be conducted. Guidance is also provided for doing reference work, selecting a topic, writing a project proposal, drawing a roadmap for actual practical work etc. The Honors Course comprises of Knowledge Enhancement, Skill Enhancement, field trips plus a Research project for Research module students. The Research students present their work in a poster presentation and the General module students present their group projects through power-point presentations, to external referees from various industries/academic institutions. The work of the students is published in the research volume entitled ‘Jigyasa’. The students also undergo continuous evaluation process throughout the course work and have to appear for a written exam at the end of the course. The students are awarded a Certificate of Merit during the felicitation ceremony held on successful completion of the program. |
