2. Dr. Sagarika Damle received K.C. Ratna Award for outstanding contributions.

3. Ms. N.K. Bharti and Ms. Sushma Panda received Principal’s Award for contribution to extra-curricular and co-curricular activities for the year 2007-08.

4.  Mr. Joji John and Mr. Alok Tripathi received award for Regularity and Punctuality for the year 2007-08.

5.  Dr. Satish Kolte and Mr. Dilip Ramrakhiyani received award for Exemplary work for the year 2007-08.

6. Ms. Evelyn D’Souza  and Ms. Geeta Raheja received Popular Teacher Award for the year 2007-08.

7. Mrs. Srivaramangai, Ms. Dimple Rijhwani and Ms. Geeta Brijwani awarded with M.Phils. in Computer Science.

8.   Mrs. Srivaramangai completed a project on ‘Unified data processing from heterogeneous data’

9.  Dr. Satish S. Kolte completed a project on ‘Study of biological active components in sea algae from coastal Mumbai.

10. Ms. Evelyn D’Souza, Ms. Rohina Thomas completed a project on ‘An exploratory study to examine the relationship between Locus of control, Emotional Maturity and depression among Degree college students’.

11.  Dr. Amarja Karandikar and Ms. Kulvinder Kaur completed a project on ‘A research study designed to access the impact of Globalization and its consequences on commerce education’.

12.  Dr. Satish Kolte was appointed as the District Coordinator for Mumbai City Zone Colleges.

13.  Dr. Hemlata Bagla and Ms. Saradha G. received grants for University Research Projects for 2007-08 from University of Mumbai.

14. Dr. Dubey, Dr. Mrs. Sagrika Damle, Dr. Mrs. Hemlata Bagla, Ms. Yogita Shinde, Dr. V.Dabholkar, Mrs. Jayashree Deshpande, Ms. Saradha G., Ms. Kavita Peter and  Dr. Shalini Rai received U.G.C. Research Project Grants for 2008 under the U.G.C. Minor Research Grant Scheme.

15. Dr.Mrs. Hemlata Bagla, Dr. V. Dabholkar, Mrs. Sheela Valecha, Mrs. Janki A. Gurbaxani published papers in various journals

 

Others —

1. A team of students of K.C. College participated in ‘The 15^th International Economics Convention’. The K.C. College team won the Runners-up trophy. The team consisted of Dipen Arya, Abhijit Ahluwalia, Mithila Mehta, Priya Seth, Rachana Radera, Samir Alam, Akansha Shakya and Priyank Shah. The best question-answer award was won by K.C. College. Mr. Abhijit Ahluwalia won the award for outstanding contribution to K.C. College team

2.  Smt. Meenadevi  Murarka Trophy for Fine Arts was won by K.C. College students.

3.  K.C. College collected the maximum prizes and points in the Kiran festival and ranked first over all.

4.  K.C.College, N.S.S. team was awarded the Best College Performance at ‘Anubhuti’ a festival organized by Ruia College.

5.  Ms. Prerna Deostale , Cadet Captain of Number-1 Maharashtra Naval unit, NCC of the college won accolades for representing Maharashtra, NCC Directorate, at All India Yatching Regatta in Chilka, Orissa in the year 2007 and winning the National level Gold Medal in the individual event.

6.  Ms. Prerna Deostale  represented Maharashtra in N.C.C. Directorate in ‘All India Nausainik Camp” in Vishakhapatanam 2007. She also won the Silver Medal in sailing, which was a part of the Republic Day events.

7.  Mr.Rishi Pillai was selected for the University Football squad.

8.  The college team won the title of ‘beach football’ in Brouhaha, the Sydenham College festival.

9.  Ms. Saumya Kanan secured the Bronze medal in swimming in District level Swimming Championship.

10.  Mr. Prateek Agrawal secured the first place in Country Race. He secured the third place in 400m Flat race and the Second place in 400m Hurdles.

11.  Mr.Vinod Patel secured First place in Javelin Throw in District Intercollegiate Athletic Meet

12.  Mr.Kaushal Gupta got the First place in YMCA annual state level meet.

13.  K.C College Boys chess team secured the Second place in K.M.Kundnani Memorial Intercollegiate Chess Championship.

14.  K.C. College cricket team brought great honour to the college by winning the intercollegiate championship in Open Intercollegiate Tournament.

15. Ms.Rashmi Teltembe was selected in the Asian Tennis Championship to represent Asia in Europe.

16. Mr. Gaurav Rane and Mr. Viral Sanghavi were awarded the Times Award for Event Manager of the year

      2007-08, by the National Institute of Event Management.
