There is a Placement cell in the college that provides various facilities to the students like:- 1. Taking up of career oriented courses. 2. Helping students to earn while they learn. 3. Providing them with summer internships, winter internships and also with employment after the completion of their course. 4. Conducting of seminars on various career opportunities like Call Centre, Insurance, 5. Conducting of Personality Development classes from time to time. 6. Aiming to make students good citizens, understand their responsibilities towards family, society and the nation, through various healthy practices. Mr. R. C. Moorjani provides able guidance for this cell.
Report of PLACEMENT CELL 2007 -2008 Following were the programs and activities conducted
1. A stall was arranged by UAEXCHANGE on 31/08/07 and 01/09/07 for the benefit of students who want to go abroad for various reasons like education, medical treatment, attending seminars. The UAEXCHANGE was helpful in providing admissions, Air ticketing, Touring, Foreign exchange and Money Transfer. 2. Students of final year degree were sent to appear for the test conducted by Patni Computers on 01/12/07. Twenty-five Students were selected. 3. Shantilal Mehta, an autoshop, has employed our students of F.Y.B.Sc. These students are working after their college timings. Each one of them has been paid Rs. 4000/- per month. 4. On 07/01/08, Artisan firm dealing with stock markets had come to our college. They conducted a written test and interview. Thirty six students of T.Y.B.A.F. and B.Sc. appeared for the test. Results are awaited. 5. On 28/01/08, Axis Concern had come to conduct the written test for T.Y.B.A.F. students. 9 students have been selected. 6. On 17/01/08, Young Buzz was given a platform to talk to all our students about admissions to Foreign Universities. From 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Young Buzz staff discussed with the students various issues pertaining to admissions to Foreign Universities. 7. K.C. College employment cell had conducted a placement week on 08/02/08 and 09/02/08. Students of F.Y., S.Y. and T.Y. from all streams were invited to participate in the placement week. The following companies visited our college during these days :- ¨ Saffron Media Pvt. Ltd. They conducted the interviews for our F.Y., S.Y. and T.Y. students. Mr. Karl Furtado along with his team has selected 12 students. ¨ On behalf of Deutsche Bank Mr. Gavin Fernandes, Mr. Vivek had come to conduct a written test for our T.Y.B.A.F. and T.Y.B.Com students. Results are awaited. ¨ Accenture recruitment cell conducted a written test, voice test and an interview for our final year students. ¨ First source conducted written test, voice test and interviews. They selected Pushpa Kumari from T.Y.B.Sc. ¨ Mainstream Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. collected the biodatas of all students. They will process the applications and then make their selection. 8. Nine of our students have been selected for TCS- Tata Consultancy Services. The test was conducted on 29/12/07. 9. Wipro has selected 15 students and Accenture has selected 21 students from the college.
