When K.C. College was founded by Late Principal K. M. Kundani in 1954, we became heir to the tradition and qualities which characterized the HSNC Board — endeavour, a striving for sufficiency, enterprise & vision, scholarship & a love for learning. It is our constant aim to keep this essential ethos, our heart, unchanged.
The much-awaited Golden Jubilee of K.C, which started with a bang on January 10, 2004 gained momentum through the year and culminated with a grand finale on December 18, 2004 bringing the curtain down on a truly memorable celebration. Needless to say it was a resounding success. My sincere & heart felt thanks to our single K.C. family of teaching & non-teaching staff & students. Their motivation & enthusiasm urged me on. I thank the members of the HSNC board for their unwavering support, the trust & confidence they reposed in me. Words fail to express my deep gratitude to the alumni association. They worked tirelessly and selflessly to orchestrate the stupendous programme on December 18th, 2004. Memories of that golden night will be etched in our minds for a long time to come.
Success is a journey, not a destination. K.C. is zipping in to the future by constantly striving to stay on the cutting edge of a new & sound education programme. The college continues to offer a broad spectrum of innovative, challenging courses that shall broaden the horizons of the students and will help them in attaining new goals & in scaling greater academic heights. In keeping with the needs of the time we have started much sought after courses like B.Com in Accounting & Finance, B.Com in Banking & Insurance & M.A. in Hindi. I am proud to state that we have also acquired recognition for Ph.D. in many faculties.
We held a Seminar organized by the Department of Hindi last year on the grand occasion of the Sesqui-centennial celebration of the University of Mumbai. This Seminar was well attended by eminent personalities and was a success. I am pleased to report the continuing success of KC students in University and Board examination, and I give full credit to our students who continue the fine tradition of combining excellent overall achievement with individual performances of high distinction. This year our college bagged the University 2nd topper position in the TYBA Psychology results.
We have given K.C a complete makeover by renovating a few rooms and building our infrastructure. We have two state of the art multimedia rooms on the ground and the fourth floor and have also developed two rooms on the third floor and equipped them fully as Seminar rooms. Our BMM, BAF & BBI classrooms are fully airconditioned rooms. Our library has the Open Access Computerised system installed for quick search of books and we have also added a mezzanine floor to the library.
The magic that is K.C. is the product of the combined effort of the K.C. Team. Caring passionately about the quality of our actions; taking trouble to be truly responsive to the needs of our pupils; committing ourselves to unlocking the potential of all our people; standing firmly by our mission statement and following our ideas -all of these make K.C. a winning college. It is with reason that we may take pride in our achievement and draw strength and vision for the future from the success and tradition of the past.
